Warning: Sleep Deprivation, Traveling, and Beer (were the influences of this entry)

I arrived back at LAX after attending a film festival for a little over a week. I was waiting by the baggage claim area, calling my friend who was picking me up, when a song came on overhead. The lyrics "see you brave" echoed in my ears and a smile flashed across my face as I hung up. I would have started dancing right then and there, but after partying and walking in heels the night before, my legs already felt like Jell-O (mostly it was due to the shoes). Still, I was filled with the fond memories of creating that Brave Tribute Video back in New York with a group of friends. The luggage started toppling down the shoot, and another song came on as I started scanning the colors for my grey suitcase. It was another pop song, this time reminding me of something different. The words repeated: "everything has changed," and I looked around where I was standing. It was true. Everything had changed.

Just about the same time last year, I was at Newark airport and JFK. Following that, I was on a plane to Florida for business, and then a train to D.C. Months later I was flying back to San Francisco to start a new life in California. Then a car ride down the I-5 and I'm standing at a baggage carousel in LAX. A lot happened in between those trips, and it's hard to recollect everything as I sit here now. Some of it has been identified throughout previous blog posts, so in order to avoid repeating myself, I will now close that chapter and turn the page. Within the past few months though, life has simply exploded on the West Coast (in the best way possible) and it blows my mind as to the amount of possibilities this new year already holds.

Nice thing about the plane ride from the festival is that I was able to edit the following video that I filmed on January 1st. (Only a few weeks behind, but I'm finally catching up on things such as this.) What you will witness is solely dedicated to my friends. Some of them requested these songs, and many of them joined in mini dance parties in my apartment or car. You will also be able to participate with many of us through future projects that we will be sharing in the months to come. Get ready!

Still a little disoriented from flying and working non stop, this entry is going to be rather short. While this isn't the most coherent entry I've ever written, I do hope you still find it entertaining nonetheless. Better to have laughed and lost than never to have laughed at all. Isn't that how the saying goes?
